Passport to Cuba: the exotic beaches of the Caribbean and the colourful streets of Havana

Situated at the heart of the Caribbean, right between the Caribbean Sea and the Atlantic Ocean, Cuba is one of the most beautiful and charismatic islands found in these latitudes. Colourful and inviting, different and exuberant, in Cuba the dances to the rhythm of salsa, cha-cha-cha and rumba never stop, summer has no beginning or end, because it just lasts forever, and the joy of life of the locals never fails to astonish with its sincerity! We are inviting you to come to know (and fall in love with) Cuba with us! “Passport to…” this month is immersing you in its faraway and tropic charm.

Everlasting summer

330 – this is the average number of the sunny days in Cuba during the year! The climate is warm and humid, while the temperature during the whole time stays almost the same – between 25 and 28° С. An interesting fact is that it had only snowed once in Cuba back in 1857. Here the ambience is more than perfect for the beach, but not just meteorologically! Long coastlines with clean fine sands, tropical palms, blue lagoons, coral reefs, turquoise waters and a true exotic characterize the 250 beaches on the territory of Cuba! The underwater world is also quite diverse with over 900 different types of fish. Before diving into the Caribbean waters though discover the richness of the Black Sea aquatory with a diving adventure in Sozopol or Shkorpilovtsi, or, with experiences over the water such as this yacht romance, kayaking adventure or surfing lessons. Or, embark on a journey discovering the secret corners of the southern or northern Black Sea coast and have no doubt that it has just as much to offer!

Down the old streets of Havana

The Cuban capital, Havana, is known for being one of the most attractive Latin American cities. The colourful houses and facades as well as the baroque buildings in the old part of the city, which by the way has been designated as a world heritage by UNESCO, are one of Havana’s biggest symbols together with the colourful retro cars, which have become an insepparable part of the city’s landscape. Many of these cars date back from the 50s and are definitly one of the best ways to explore Havana and fully immerse in its charm! But, if the Cuban capital seems too far for you, with the experience “Golden Rozhen” we are giving you the opportunity to visit the one and only in Bulgaria retro car museum! With this retro jeep we can take you to the Elin peak in the Rhodope mountain, while with this tour with Mercedes SSK we are going to give you a romantic round in a truly legendary car!

The tastes of Cuba

Cuba is the the homeland of the light, pure and palpable rum. There is no doubt that you have also heard of Cuba’s high quality cigars: it is unsurprisingly the best cigar manufatcturer in the world! It is interesting how in the XV century the first man who ever lit a cigar in Europe after returning to Spain from Cuba was caught and burned on a pyre by the Inquisition as according to it only the Devil could make smoke come out of his mouth! A couple of centuries later the cigars became quite popular in Europe as well although at first they used to be a quite bizarre product… And, what can we say about the Cuban cuisine? Just like the Cubans themselves, their dishes are quite colourful! They combine influences from the African, Asian and Spanish cuisine, they usually contain many ingredients and they are always served hot with a glass of beer or some alcoholic cocktail. Try all the tastes of Cuba here in Bulgaria with the professional tasting of cigars and whiskey, the class for preparing, mixing and of course tasting different cocktails or with this authentic Cuban street food class with Men in the kitchen!
