The underwater world is like a whole different universe. Vast, enigmatic, astonishing. Only those, who dare to dive into the deep have the benefit of getting close to its beauty. It’s a bit terrifying when you think about the fact that an enormous part of the ocean is still unexplored and so much of it remains unseen and hidden. This is why there is so much magic in diving – it unravels a new world in front of you that is unconquered and raw. This is just a bit of what the underwater experiences involve. What else? Read on…
Divers describe the feeling of going underwater as a feeling of freedom and calmness that is hard to compare. Of course, if you are diving for the first time, most probably it will be a weird sense. Once you adapt though, that inner peace will come, which will be bringing you back to diving again and again.
The feeling of being underwater is actually very similar to being in space! The two are so alike that even NASA uses specialized underwater stations in order to train astronauts and test space equipment. Both divers and astronauts experience movement that isn’t controlled by earth gravity. At the same time, they both wear an exposure suit to protect them from their environment and have an air supply. And while some of us will never really have the chance to fly to space, diving is the closest to this unearthly feeling that we all have the opportunity to experience.
What else happens, while you are under the surface? The funny thing is that if you are just starting with this activity, at first you will most probably feel a little ungainly and maybe grace and finesse won’t be your best features. And if you are a chatty one, diving will challenge you to some quietness as, quite logically, the mouthpiece for air transmission will make speaking a bit of a tough task. While communicating with the other person without using words, you will be surprised how often words are actually needless and how interesting it is to be able to understand their thoughts and needs non-verbally.
Diving will make you realize, discover and feel a lot more stuff than that. Perhaps even stuff that belong just with you, that are personal and that no one can tell you about if you don’t go after them yourself. Try diving and communication with fish at the special bay of Sozopol, make an underwater birthday surprise with champagne and “cake”, and if you find yourself in Lozenets, go for this test diving for beginners by yourself or with a loved one for a real feast under the water with the diving for two in Lozentes, in Sozopol or in Shorpilovtsi. And if you are one of those lucky and brave ones, who have already discovered the underwater beauty and would not like to break away from it, with this four-day diving course in Greece, you will not only be able to deepen your knowledge, but to also receive the official certificate for divers SSI Open Water Diver.
