Sgraffito and wine

The creative workshop "Sgraffito and Wine" by WOOOD allows you to enjoy a special time just for you! We offer you a cozy creative environment and the opportunity to gain new knowledge and skills while you take some time off your busy schedule. Let us teach you a very interesting decoration technique called "Sgraffito". This is a medieval technique for the decoration of ceramic products, in which painting is done by “scratching” a semi-dry ceramic item. "Sgraffito" is especially suitable for relaxing after a busy work week.

Boris Kalaidzhiev who will guide you through the process is an artist-designer with many years of extensive experience in working with glass, porcelain and ceramics, wood carving, modeling and plastic arts. In recent years, he has been actively developing and conducting creative workshops for wood carving and ceramics. Boris has graduated from the National Academy of Arts. Regardless of your age and interests, regardless of the skills you have, with WOOOD Creative Workshops you will discover new knowledge and indulge in relaxation!

The offer includes: 

• A semi-ready ceramic item (plate, cup, etc.) that is semi-dry with preliminary applied angoba (a thin layer of clay).
• All necessary materials and instruments
• A glass of wine and water, tea or coffee

Important: 

"Sgraffito" is a technique for decorating clay vessels in which a contrasting color engoba (a thin layer of thinned clay, which can be of many different colors) is applied to a wet base (vessel) and a graphic drawing is created by scratching. Due to the very specifics of the work and in order not to divide the lesson into three separate courses with a distance of one week each, we skip some of the steps and go directly to the more fun part, namely drawing. After the workshop, your creation will stay with WOOOD for up to 15 working days for drying, retouching, baking and glazing. The delivery time is this long, because the procedures listed above require technological time. Workshops can accommodate a maximum of 8 people.
