During this weekend, you will wander through cool forests and climb the windy peaks surrounding two of the most iconic mountain huts in the Balkan Mountains – Kozya Stena and Echo Hut. These places have gifted many people with unforgettable memories of captivating sunrises and sunsets and have engraved incredible experiences into their souls. Immerse yourself in the magic of the Balkan Mountains!

Program:

Day 1: Beklemeto – Kozya Stena Peak – Echo Hut

09:00 – Gathering of the group at Beklemeto. After leaving the cars, you will head along the ridge toward the adventurous Kozya Stena Peak, climb it, and enjoy the panoramic views of the peaks of the Central Balkan Mountains revealed from its summit. Afterwards, you will visit Kozya Stena Hut for a good meal.

Filled with a spirit of adventure, you will continue toward the nearby Echo Hut to absorb with your eyes and hearts the colossal scale and vast panorama of the imposing Vezhen Peak. Along the way, you will pass Ushite Peak, and once you reach the hut, those who still have energy can also conquer the slopes of Yumruka Peak!

Day 2: Echo Hut – Kozya Stena Hut – Boba Peak – Beklemeto

On this day, anyone who wishes may wake up before sunrise to greet the dawn. After breakfast, you will leisurely head back along the ridge toward Beklemeto, climbing the nearby Boba Peak (1707 m) along the way and searching for the unique edelweiss flowers found in the area.

Mandatory personal equipment and requirements:

• backpack around 30–40 liters
• high three-season hiking boots
• 2 pairs of spare socks
• suitable clothing: comfortable long hiking pants, quick-dry T-shirt/blouse, thermal
• base layer top and leggings, fleece, raincoat, windproof jacket, down jacket or
• synthetic insulated jacket with hood, spare dry clothes for changing
• winter hat
• summer hat
• gloves
• buff or other head/neck scarf
• headlamp or flashlight
• sunglasses
• sunscreen
• personal first aid kit according to your needs
• trekking poles (recommended)

The hike is suitable for beginners with basic physical fitness. All hikes are conducted in compliance with the necessary safety measures and are led by a licensed mountain guide.

Group hikes with fixed dates are organized with a minimum of 4 participants. If you purchase a voucher for a scheduled group hike but the minimum group size is not reached for the selected date, or weather conditions do not allow the hike to take place, the organizers will offer you an alternative date and your voucher will remain valid.
