Balloon Fiesta "Baba Vida" will take place from 27.06–28.06.2026!

You can expect an unforgettable experience in celebration of Danube Day, with flights departing from the Baba Vida Fortress. The balloons will fly over Vidin and the Danube, with landing either in Bulgaria or Romania depending on wind conditions.

Flights will take place in the morning at 7:00 AM from Baba Vida Fortress, subject to suitable weather conditions. If flying is not possible on a given day, and if conditions allow, the booking may be moved to the next day of the fiesta, to the Belogradchik fiesta, or to another date of your choice.

The experience includes:

Ticket for the Balloon Fiesta "Baba Vida" 2026. Please select the number of people from the dropdown menu.

Hot air balloon flight. Please select the duration from the dropdown menu.

Important information:

• Two morning flight sessions are planned: 27.06 morning and 28.06 morning.

• The first flight lasts approximately one hour, but no less than 40 minutes, and departs from Baba Vida Fortress.

• This year, 30-minute flights will also be available during the fiesta. This means passengers arrive at 7:00 AM for the first 60-minute flight departure, and we will take them to the landing site so they can fly from there.

• All vouchers for flights over the Belogradchik Rocks are also valid for this fiesta.

• After landing, the crew vehicle usually arrives within 5–10 minutes, packs up the balloon, and transports you back to Baba Vida Fortress. The experience typically lasts around 2 hours if landing in Bulgaria, and slightly longer if landing in Romania.

• All passengers must carry an ID card or passport. Passengers under 18 must have a notarized parental consent form for travel abroad if flying alone. All passengers will sign a declaration upon registration on the day of the flight at the tent in front of the fortress.

• Please note that the balloon does not land at the take-off location, and the flight path depends on the weather conditions at the time of the flight.
