One-day rock climbing for beginners

Treat yourself (or a special someone) to an unforgettable adventure that will introduce you to the world of vertical movement. You’ll experience the freedom of climbing with dozens of meters of air beneath your feet – but don’t worry, you’ll be safely secured! You’ll learn to overcome not only the challenges of the rock, but also those within yourself. No prior experience is needed – all you need is motivation and a love for challenges.

During this program, you will acquire basic skills and knowledge about climbing principles, belaying methods, and essential climbing techniques. You’ll get familiar with the knots used in sport climbing, as well as with the necessary equipment. The program will take place at a rock climbing site near Sofia. The exact location will be chosen a few days before the announced dates, depending on weather conditions.

Program:

09:00 – group meets near the chosen rock site. You can get help to organize carpooling among participants.

09:30 – 13:00 – introduction to equipment, basic knots, and climbing principles; climbing on a variety of rock routes.

13:00 – 13:30 – lunch break.

13:30 – 18:00 – climbing on different routes according to participants' skills and preferences.

18:30 – departure to Sofia. If you want, you can stop at a local restaurant on the way back.

Participant requirements:

• Personal equipment – comfortable sports clothing, sneakers, approach shoes or hiking boots with good grip.
• Minimum age: 18 years.

The price includes:

• Participation in the program
• Licensed mountain guide or certified climbing and mountaineering instructor
• Mountain insurance for the duration of the program
• Rental of shared and personal climbing gear (helmet, harness, rope, belay device, etc.).

The experience takes place in a group of up to 8 people. In case weather conditions don’t allow the event to take place, the organizers will offer an alternative date and your voucher will remain valid.
