By the Bosphorus: The Flavours of Istanbul

Gift yourself (or someone special) an evening where Istanbul comes alive on the plate. Lahmacun in hand, köfte sizzling on the grill, fragrant sumac, hot peppers, and cold mezze between bites. You’ll be transported to the pier between two continents, without leaving Sofia.

Over the course of three hours, you’ll immerse yourself in the world of Istanbul’s street food and prepare dishes made for sharing, eating with your hands, and those moments when “just one more bite” is never really just one.

During the course, you’ll prepare:

• Mini lahmacun – thin dough, a delicate meat topping, and lightly crisped edges.
• Köfte – lamb and beef, juicy on the inside, beautifully seared on the outside, with a distinct aroma of cumin.
• Fine bulgur, isot, pepper paste, nar ekşisi, and plenty of hand-kneading.
• Acılı ezme and sumac onions – fresh, spicy, tangy, and just the right amount of crunchy.
• Cacık – thick strained yogurt, cucumber, garlic, mint, and olive oil.
