Rakia tasting and a visit to the Rakia Museum

These are the elements, you will be welcomed with in the first Rakia Museum in Bulgaria, where you will get to know why this drink is so special and loved not only by Bulgarians, but also by the entire Balkans. You will immerse yourself in the traditional Bulgarian spirit, you will discover the history and art of rakia preparation, you will taste and even be able to buy interesting and rare rakias from the special shop in the museum.

From the juicy sweetness of plum rakia  to the delicate taste of pear, embark on a journey into the world of Bulgaria's diverse fruit rakias. Each flavor tells a unique story about the craftsmanship of master technologists.

Tasting 3: a surprise with sour cherry and plum

Enjoy the unexpected! Taste the sweetness of cherry liqueur (vishnovka) along with the earthy, full flavor of plum rakia. The third flavor will be a surprise that will complete this aromatic trio.

Tasting 4: special selection of aged rakias and brandy tasting

This is a curated collection of aged brandies and brandies perfect for enthusiasts and connoisseurs who want to explore the depth and complexity of these drinks. The tasting includes:

• 12 Year Plum Rakia Premium aged rakia made from the finest plums and patiently aged for 12 years to achieve a rich, smooth flavor profile
• 7 Year Old Grape Rakia beautifully aged for seven years to develop a harmonious combination of grape essence and oak influence.
• 7-year-old VSOP (Very Superior Old Pale) Prestigious rakia, aged seven years in oak barrels, offering a luxurious tasting experience.

In combination with thinly sliced, first-class pastrami with a spicy taste, traditional Bulgarian sausage and farm cheeses

Important: the working hours of the museum are from Monday to Sunday, from 12:30 a.m. Until 6:30 p.m. Last tastings are held no later than 5:30 p.m. Tastings are held with a reservation made in advance. In case you don't drink, you can enjoy a delicious traditional ayrian, various appetizers and explore the exhibition. Tastings are only for adults aged 18+
