We all love patatnik! This is dish you can have all the way from Arda river to the Danube. It’s also a dish that different households in the Rhodope mountains prepare differently. Some prepare it in pastry, others don’t, some bake it in the oven, others in the pan, etc. However, what is the proper way to prepare this extremely tasty dish? we invite you to an unforgettable culinary experience in the picturesque Rhodope village of Momchilovtsi! There you will meet the host at guest house “Shipkata” who will give you all the secrets to preparing a perfect patatnik! In addition to its delicious cuisine and warm people, this village is known for its long-lived population. Momchilovtsi has been awarded a golden stamp for “Unique European village”, is part of the 100 National sights, is surrounded by 27 chapels, out of which is Also St. Iliya, known for its healing water source.
