Wine-Flavored Cycling Adventure in the Struma Valley

Do you love nature, movement, and good wine? Now you can combine them in one unforgettable experience!

Your starting point will be Rupel Winery, where you will be provided with rental bicycles and a tourist backpack with food and water, and optionally a bottle of chilled, aromatic wine.

The route is easy and enjoyable, making the adventure suitable even for beginner cyclists, and no guide is required. You will follow a well-maintained and clearly marked bike path in both directions, enjoying along the way a variety of flowers and herbs, observing rare birds, and passing vineyards that are over 50 years old. For distant views, you will use binoculars, and occasionally you may even encounter wild animals.

In addition to the breathtaking views of the Pirin Mountains and the endless green vineyards, you will enjoy a romantic outdoor picnic under fig trees halfway through the ride. You then continue to Orbelus Bio Winery, located near the village of Kromidovo, where a wine tasting is planned on the terrace of the barrel-shaped winery, offering impressive views over the vineyard landscapes.

The first tasting comes as an energizing break after the pleasant cycling tour. It takes place on a large terrace with views of endless vineyards at Orbelus Bio Winery near the village of Kromidovo. The winery, built in the shape of a barrel, produces high-quality organic wines with a distinct character and a strong sense of origin. After time to relax and enjoy the wines, you head back to Rupel. Even if you feel pleasantly tired, another delicious experience awaits you there – an additional wine tasting served with carefully selected appetizers and beautiful views.

This experience is offered daily from April to October, weather permitting, with advance reservation required. No special clothing or gear is required, but we recommend comfortable clothes and shoes, a hat, and sunscreen for your comfort.
