Witness the most beautiful winter landscapes in Bulgaria. The eastern edge of Muratov Peak is one of the classic climbs in the Banderishka Valley. The short approach and relatively medium technicality make it suitable for one of your first alpine experiences in the snow. It can easily be climbed within a day, with a prior overnight stay at Vihren Hut. If you want to make your experience even more unforgettable, don't forget to ask your guide to leave earlier and be at the top by sunrise!

Programme:

The night before the hike - arrival at Shiligarnika area and hike to Vihren hut

Start at 06:30 and a hike to Muratovo lake - about 1.5-2h

Hike to Muratov peak along the Eastern ridge - about 2 - 2.5h

Hiking back to Shiligarnika area (about 4.5h) and departure

This programme is suitable for beginners but good physical preparation and fitness is required. 

The experience includes

  • participation in the alpine programme. Please choose from the drop-down menu
  • licensed alpine guide
  • insurance for extreme sports covering the climb
  • Personal approach and a high safety and quality of service standard
  • personal alpine equipment for every participant (helmet and seat)

What to prepare:

  • High-top trans seasonal shoes or winter alpine shoes with a hard sole
  • Thermal underwear (blouse and tights)
  • Sweatshirt or warm jacket
  • Puffer jacket with a hood
  • Jacket (can be a ski jacket)
  • Trousers (can be ski trousers)
  • Winter hat
  • 2 bandanas
  • Two pairs of winter gloves
  • headlamp
  • Mountain poles
  • Food for the day
  • Thermos with hot water (700 -1000ml)
  • A 30l bag 
All alpine climbing takes place subject to the necessary safety measures and is led by a licensed alpine guide. 

When will I receive my voucher?

Purchased and paid online vouchers are automatically sent to the e-mail specified by you within just a few moments, 24/7.

Purchased on working days until 4:00 p.m. vouchers in an envelope or box are sent with the courier company Speedy to the address specified by you. Delivery usually takes 1 working day.

How do I use my voucher?

From our main menu, select the "reservation" button. Fill in the form with the date and time you want. Our partners usually respond within 3 business days after a registration request is received. Expect feedback from us by email within these 3 business days. It is advisable to make the inquiry at least 7 days before the desired date.
