One-day rock climbing for beginners

Gift (yourself) an exciting adventure and step into the world of vertical movement. Feel the freedom of climbing as dozens of meters of air open beneath your feet-don’t worry, you’ll be safely secured at all times! You’ll learn how to overcome not only the challenges of the rock, but also those within yourself. No prior experience is needed-just enthusiasm and a desire for adventure.

During this program, you will gain essential knowledge and basic skills in climbing, including safety techniques, belaying methods, and fundamental climbing movements. You’ll also get familiar with the knots used in sport climbing, as well as the necessary equipment.
The program takes place at a rock climbing site near Sofia. The exact location will be selected a few days before the event, depending on weather conditions.

Program:

09:00 – Meeting point near the selected climbing area. Shared transport between participants can be arranged.

09:30 – 13:00 – Introduction to equipment, basic knots, and climbing principles; climbing on various routes

13:00 – 13:30 – Lunch break

13:30 – 18:00 – Climbing on different routes according to participants’ skills and preferences

18:30 – Departure to Sofia. Optional stop for food at a local restaurant

Requirements:

• Personal gear: comfortable sportswear, sneakers, approach shoes or hiking shoes with good grip, backpack (20–25 L), helmet and harness (available for rent)

• Minimum age: 18 (or parental consent)

• Basic physical fitness and a spirit for adventure

The experience includes: 

• Participation in the full-day program

• Certified alpine guide or climbing instructor

• Mountain insurance covering extreme sports

• Shared climbing equipment (rope, belay devices, carabiners, etc.)

The experience takes place in a small group of up to 8 participants. In case of unsuitable weather conditions, an alternative date will be offered, and your voucher will remain valid.
