Thracian katmi culinary workshop for four. Sadovo

In an idyllic setting and with the help of an authentic culinary master, you will experience the magic of preparing a typical regional dish, you will taste local food and learn more about village life. Indulge in a rest for the mind, open your senses to new knowledge and tastes, get to know the unknown Bulgarian village!

In Sadovo, Thracian katmi are a culinary tradition, but here the recipe without eggs and their preparation with bacon and garlic dip is more special. This variation is amazingly delicious and the locals often prepare it for dinner and savor it over a glass of rakia.

The culinary workshop will start with a walk around the yard of our hosts to show you their small farm. You'll pick from the garden's seasonal vegetables to combine into a healthy salad. You will proceed with the preparation of the katmi - from mixing the dough to baking them over a fire in an old family sach. You will prepare the garlic dip. You will taste different types of homemade lemonades - with strawberries, raspberries, mint, lemon, linden and other garden fragrances, and when you are ready, the hosts will treat you to more typical regional dishes. 

If you wish, you can dress in traditional Thracian folklore costumes, preserved in the family, and take unforgettable photos with them.

You can also walk around the town and its outskirts, where you can observe wild ducks and otters.
